Signs you need a new boiler: start with its age
Most modern boilers are built to last somewhere between 10 and 15 years. That is a long time, but it is not forever. Once yours is in that range, every other warning sign on this list counts for more.
Age matters because of what happens inside. Sludge builds up in the system, seals harden and parts wear at the same rate. A boiler in a Derby or Erewash home that has run through 12 winters has done a lot of work, even if it still lights first time.
